To become a mermaid, you first need to know more about being a mermaid and more about the subject. Why do you want to be a mermaid?
This is one of the most important things to know when you want to become a mermaid. You need to know why. You need to be determined about it, and know, do you really
want to become a mermaid? Is there a reason? Ask yourself why. You may like a show on TV like H20 with mermaids with powers etc. But you must realize that it's a fictional TV show, and they are not really mermaids and the creator of the show and it's writers come up with stuff for it. So becoming a mermaid in real life is different. You can be inspired to become a mermaid by a show, but make sure you realize the differences. And make sure you have a real reason why you want to be a mermaid, and it CAN'T be "I want to become a mermaid because of H20 and they are cool" it should be something like "I would like to be a mermaid so I can explore the depths of the ocean, and communicate with sea creatures." (That's not my reason, that's just an example.)Spells
That's right; spells. One of the most used ways to become a mermaid. Okay, probably one of the first spells you're going to try or have already tried is Magic Doctor's spell known as the "insouciant" spell. It doesn't work, so don't try. Now, there are TONS of mermaid spells posted online. Will they work for you? Maybe so, maybe not. It depends on the spell, and it the person posting it is trustworthy. But the absolute best spell is your own spell. It consists of your personality and your own energy. Spells used too often can drain its power out, so I suggest not to share your spell with anyone. If you lost your powers somehow, you could re-do the spell that you made again and none of the power in it would be lost if you didn't share it. Also, DON'T do more than one spell at a time. Time it out, doing them all at one time can be dangerous. But, back to the subject. You may be wondering "How do I make a spell?". Also, you can't rely on the spell to work by itself, you need to support its power, give it a boost. And the boost is MEDITATING! :D Meditation
Meditation is an important step in becoming a mermaid. It helps you to become a mermaid. Meditation should be done everyday or at least a couple of times a week. During meditation, you should imagine yourself on a beach as a mermaid, and while imagining yourself as a mermaid. I recommend listening to a good meditation music while meditating, but it's not necessary. And the meditation imagination method I suggested is not necessary either, you can come up with what you want to imagine. (I am a little weak with explaining the meditation area, so you may need to look up more about it.) Here's a page that you can start off learning to meditate: http://theconsciouslife.com/how-to-meditate-a-guide-for-beginners.htm
How long does it take?
Getting your tail can take from weeks to months, maybe even a year. I don't believe there's any spell possible that could get you to get a tail in a few days. Waiting for a spell to work takes patience. You may want a tail really
bad, but you've just got to wait. If you don't want to wait, you don't really want to be a mermaid. I don't ever hear of it taking a year to get a spell to work, but I can't say there aren't cases of it. You know the old saying, "Good things come to those who wait." I want to become a mermaid when I touch water.
NO, don't do that. At least I don't think you should. It can be dangerous in so many ways, and there are many consequences you would have to face everyday. Us humans use water every single day, it would be difficult to not use it. Just think about it; some of the consequences are:
- You have to wash your hands in a public restroom, like at school or at a restaurant. You can't stall in the bathroom because the teacher will get mad at you for coming back to class late. What if the restroom is busy in the restaurant? Someone will see you turn unless you don't wash your hands. And trust me, you need to wash your hands well, especially after being in a public bathroom.
- You won't be able to swim with your friends or in a public pool. You don't want your friends to find out about your secret, you don't know what could happen. Your secret could get out, and you may even lose your tail. If people learn the secret, people might start to be afraid of you, and you don't want that. And you can't even touch a public pool because the people that are there will see you, such as the lifeguard. You CAN'T tell him that it's a fake tail because since it will be real, it will be hard to fool them.
- You couldn't drink water in public. Since it touches your lips and mouth, which is your skin, you will pop your tail.
- You have to be really careful in the rain, and even then it's hard to keep at least one drop of water off of you. What if you're caught in the rain without an umbrella?
- What if water splashes on you from something?
And there are so many others. So, if you can't get a tail when you touch water, what can
you do? You can do a method called "summoning your tail". This is where you say a special word to get your tail to appear. This means you can control when you want your tail, and when you don't want your tail. I think choosing to summon your tail is a good choice. Now, putting it in a spell. Put something in the spell that says you want your tail to be summoned. Just put something in there that you think sounds right. BUT don't write something like "I want to summon my tail and my summoning word will be word goes here
." No, don't write something like that. Just make whatever sentence you make creative. Again, you can look back in spell writing tips further down for more. Side Effects
Many people are concerned about side effect. They may feel tingling in their leg, or maybe their toes are sore. Is this a side effect? How do we know? Well, something that happens right after the spell is done could possibly be a side effect. But as soon as we do a spell, we are aware of everything that might happen to us and count it as a side effect, when it could just be something normal happening to us. The side effects really just depend on the spell. But here are some common side effects, just scroll down on this page and you can find a list of side effects: http://thesilvercomet.webs.com/mermaidmermanspells.htm
And I couldn't say for sure that these list of side effects are accurate, but it seems pretty accurate to me. Powers, and How to Get Them
Like said before, powers for mermaids are not exactly like on H20. They are a little different. Here is a list of common mermaid powers: http://thesilvercomet.webs.com/mermaidmermanpowers.htm
and Pir84evr even posted an entry on 43 Things on how to get them! But be careful with your powers, if you ever get any. You don't want to end up hurting somebody or burning up something. Symbols
I don't feel that symbols are necessary when doing a spell. Symbols are something that hold the energy of your spells and being a mermaid. If you can put your own energy into your spell, and pick your own items to use, I don't think it's necessary. I also think it's a bit of trouble to have a symbol, because you have to wear it 24/7 and that's hard for some people to do. Who can I tell?
Being a mermaid is a tough secret to hide. You might feel like you just can't keep it in any longer and you want to tell somebody. I wouldn't suggest telling someone, though. The secret might get out, and like I said, people might begin to be afraid of you. Scientists might even start investigating you or questioning you. I'm not trying to be scary or anything, but just saying. Just keep your identity safe if you are a mermaid, and I think everything would be okay. If you are in an online chat, if you tell the person you are a mermaid, make sure you don't know them but you can trust them. You don't want to end up telling someone from school or someone you know. Also, don't tell anybody you know because you might end up losing your tail, and we don't want that. Don't post pictures of it either. Why isn't my spell working?
So you've tried your first spell; and it didn't work? Like I said before, try your own spell. Your own spell works the best. Second of all, is it worded well? Check Spell Making Tips. Also, do you believe in it? You must have confidence and belief, or it won't work. You must have high spirts about the spell and don't doubt that it will work. Tell yourself that you absolutely know it will work before you do a spell. Also, have you waited long enough? Sometimes it takes time for a spell to work, so don't lose patience quickly. Spell Making Tips
Here are some spell making tips.
- Make sure your spell makes sense, and put words with meaning in it. Here's a BAD example of a spell: "I want to become a mermaid with a pretty shiny tail god please please please." That spell is not going to work.
- Make the spell specific. If you're not specific enough, you might not get what you want. For example, if you say you wish to be a mermaid, which mermaid? You could end up being a reverse mermaid. A reverse mermaid is a mermaid with a fish for a head and human legs for feet. So say "tail" and be specific.
- Don't copy something from another spell. If you want to use it, put it in your own words.
Is becoming a mermaid black magic?
There are two major types of magic; white magic and black magic. White magic is for good, and black magic is for evil. A spell is neutral. It is only bad if you use it in a bad way, and only good if you use it in a good way. So if you were becoming a mermaid just to become a mermaid, I wouldn't consider it black or white magic. If you were using it to help sea creatures under water or something else like that, white magic I guess. Same for black, if you did something bad as a mermaid I guess you could call that black magic. But I hope you're not doing anything bad, so no, it's not really black magic.
Will I be disobeying god if I use a spell?
Pir84evr recently answered this question, saying "According to the bible, any type of witchcraft is forbidden. Of course, back in the day, it was believed that making your own tea from scratch or living longer than usual was witchcraft. I believe you should do what feels right to you, but seeing as the bible is “God’s word”, performing a spell would be dabbling in witchcraft, which would be disobeying ‘God’. This is me expressing my view that if you're going to follow a religion that you believe is right, you should ALWAYS stay true to it :)" And I agree with her, you should always stay true to what you believe in.
So what about...girl stuff?
If you're a guy trying to becoming a merman, don't read this section. Okay, so if you're a girl that is using a tampons or a pad, you should probably take it off before you become a mermaid. Mermaids have no reproductive organs, so there would be no use for it in mermaid form. I guess it would just be stuck there until you became human again.
So anyways, that's about all I can tell you for now to get started off with it. Please note that I am NOT a mermaid. This is just information I've learned about over to past couple of years. (But I wrote this article, but I told you who I got something from if I copied it) If I forgot something, please let me know. You can go to "Contact Me" or you can tell me on 43 Things (Sparkl308). Thanks for reading.
